It must have been a relief for the children of Israel to hear that their prolonged, 40 year journey through the terrible wilderness would finally be coming to an end. They were about to cross over into the Promised Land. In fact, the word in Hebrew for a Hebrew, Ivri, comes from the root I-V-R, which means to cross over. In a spiritual sense, anyone who has crossed over into the Kingdom of God is an Ivri. For that reason, perhaps, Paul said that being a Jew is a matter of having a circumcised heart more than circumcised flesh. He wasn’t negating circumcision, of course; he was emphasizing that to cross over into the Kingdom of God, there must be an inward change. Those who worship God, worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Fajar, who is from the Gaza Strip, needed open-heart surgery which she received at Holon’s Wolfson Medical Center on Tuesday with the help of the Save a Child's Heart (SACH) organization.

Hamas prisoners captured during Operation Protective Edge have admitted that Hamas has been raising up a paraglider team to attack Israel using rocket-propelled grenades, semi-automatic Kalashnikov rifles, and commando knives in a surprise move on Israeli forces near the Gaza Strip. Cell leader Mohammad Kadara, 28, confessed that the group had been sent to Malaysia by way of Cairo for training in paragliding. “The plan was to cross the border into Israel with a paraglider, reach an Israel Defense Force Post (IDF) post or settlement near the border, shoot at soldiers and civilians and kill as many Israelis as possible,” said Kadara.

Kerry Warns World That ISIS Is Perilously Close to Israel

After the abduction of United Nations' forces in Syria by rebel forces, the Syrian army and rebel Islamic forces continue to battle along Israel’s Golan border with Syria, placing the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on high alert in the Golan Heights. The IDF also ordered farmers and civilians to vacate the Syria border area amid fierce fighting at the Quneitra crossing. On Friday, United States Secretary of State John Kerry called on the world to unite to defeat ISIS terror. “They have already demonstrated the ability to seize and hold more territory than any other terrorist organization, in a strategic region that borders Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey and is perilously close to Israel,” he wrote in a New York Times piece published Friday.
