Jews, Christians, and Muslims of faith are invited to join the worship event, which is part of the Mekudeshet (Blessed) festival — part of Jerusalem's Season of Culture.

Muslim Cleric’s Incitement Calls for Genocide

June 15, 2016 Despite a crackdown in Israel on incitement, anti-Semitic hate-speech on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem continues to call for violence against Jews. During the lead-in to Ramadan, the Middle East Media Research Institute translated a fired-up religious teaching given on the Temple Mount to a large Muslim audience by Islamic cleric Ali Abu Ahmad, complete with a call to annihilate the Jews.

Erez Crossing to Open After Eight Year Closure

May 9, 2016 On Monday, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon announced plans to open the Erez Crossing to Gaza. The crossing has been closed to commercial traffic for at least eight years. “It is in our interests that a significant amount of truckloads of food continues to go to Gaza,” said Ya'alon's spokesperson. “It is our interest that Gazans live in dignity, both from a humanitarian point of view and because this is a way to protect the peace, in addition to existing security deterrents.” The plans to open the Erez Crossing “will not happen tomorrow or the day after,” but soon, he stated.
